Weihnachtskuchenrezept

Cherry Cream Cheese & chocolate slice

25o g fresh cherries
365 g caster sugar
185 ml water
300 g dark chocolate
300 g butter
5 eggs
210 g plain flour
250 g cream cheese

preheat oven to 150 c. Butter a 32cm x 22 cm x 5 cm baking tin then line it with non- stick baking paper.
Halve the Cherries and remove the stones. Place 50 g of the sugar and 85 ml of the water in a saucepan, bring to a simmer and then ad the cherries. Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from the heat and leave to cool.
Melt together the chocolate, butter and remaining water in a bowl over a saucepan of simmering water then set aside to cool.
In an electric mixer, whisk the eggs and remaining sugar on a high speed until all the sugar has dissolved (around 10 minutes).
With the mixer on a slow speed, pour in the chocolate mixture and mix until incorporated. Switch off the beater and sift in the flour then mix again until all the flour lumps are gone.
Pour batter into the tin and dot with dream cheese and cherries then drizzle with a little of the cherry syrup.
Bake 40- 45 minutes or until a skewer comes out with some of the mixture on it like we crumbs rather than wet batter. Allow the slice to cool before removing from tin then cut into squares and serve....

Viel Freude beim Uebersetzen und Backen!
